Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and the Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer Foot Care Clinics at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. First come, first served. A Foot Care Clinic is also offered by appointment on the second Tuesday of each month at the Birch Grove Center in Tofte, from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. Call (218) 387-2330 for an appointment. Cook County Higher Education North Shore Campus
College courses and career training available in Cook County. Visit our Campus at corner of 3rd St. and 3rd Ave. West in Grand Marais. Regular hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with evenings by appointment. It’s Girl Scout Cookie time
Local Girl Scouts have been delivering their orders. If you missed your chance to order, or if you need another box of Thin Mints to get through till summer – here is another chance. On 3-27-10 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Cook County’s Girl Scouts will be offering a massive Booth Sale. You can stop by the Community Center, Gene’s IGA, Johnson Foods or Threads in downtown Grand Marais and pick up your favorite kinds. Remember, cookies are the main way Girl Scouts finance their activities. 75% of the sale goes to support local Girl Scouts from first grade to high school. Annual Community Cross Walk and Good Friday Service
The annual Community Cross Walk procession will begin at the Evangelical Free Church at 6:00 PM on Friday April 2nd. This year’s route will take us south to Highway 61, then along Wisconsin St through downtown, to the Java Moose parking lot. Next, up 3rd Ave. W to the First Congregational UCC , then on to the community center, then to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and on to St. John’s Catholic Church where the Community Good Friday service will be held at 7:00 PM. Rev. Dave Harvey of the Evangelical Free Church will speak. The community is encouraged to attend both events. Walkers may join the Cross Walk at any location along the route. 3/27-4/3b

Cornerstone Community Church is inviting the community
To dinner on Easter Sunday, April 4th, at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come for good food and good company. There is no charge for the meal.
