Cook County Community Center Arena Sale

Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. No early birds! If you want to sell items, the cost for two tables and space is $15. Please call Diane at 387-3015 to reserve your space.

Cook County Ruby’s Pantry

Cook County Ruby’s Pantry is starting Thursday, May 14, 4-6 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. Next distributions will be 2nd Tuesdays: June 9, July 14 and August 11; same time same place. Cost is $20 per share and you may buy more than one share. Program is not income based so anyone can participate. Bring laundry baskets, coolers or boxes to carry food home. YMCA Parents Night Out

May 9 from 5-8 p.m. at the YMCA. Parents, take the night off while kids play and watch a movie at the Y. $10/child.

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on May 5 at the Cook County Family YMCA from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3. The May town meeting will be Monday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at Schroeder Town Hall, 124 Cramer Rd., Schroeder. Meetings are normally the second Tuesday of each month.
