Borealis Chorale and Orchestra rehearsals
(Rutter Requiem and Messiah Easter portions) begin on
Monday, February 2nd. Orchestra meets at 5:45 p.m.
and choir meets at 7:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran
Church. Concert will take place on Palm Sunday,
March 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Bethlehem. Bill Beckstrand,
conductor.

Community Center outdoor ice rinks open
Cook County Community Center outdoor ice rinks
and warming house open for skating Mondays,
Wednesdays, Fridays from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m., Saturdays
and days kids are off school from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00
p.m. and Sundays, 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. Skate rental is $1/
person/time. To reserve the hockey rink for your group,
please call Diane at 218-387-3015. If the warming
house is not open, you are welcome to skate anyway.

YMCA Winter Overnight Family Camp
Saturday, February 7, pitch a tent in the gymnasium
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. Evening includes games, movie in
the pool and campfire complete with songs and skits.
$15 for members, $30 for nonmembers.

Friday Madness at the Y
School age childcare on days that students do not have
school, day includes swimming, crafts, gym games and
outdoor play. $30/child.

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer
their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center
on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m.
First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own
soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services will be
offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings
on February 3 at the Java Moose from 9:15-10:15 a.m.
and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood
pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3. For more
