One Act Play Auditions

The Grand Marais Playhouse will hold auditions Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. in the ACA for a One Act Play yet to be determined that will be sent to the Minnesota Association of Community Theater’s Festival March 19-21, 2015 in Cokato, MN. Play will be selected after auditions. The play will be directed by Jack Nickolay. Rehearsals will be Sunday – Thursday evenings and may be adjusted by the company. Actors, stage manager and crew (if needed) must commit to attending the festival March 19 for rehearsal in the space and March 20 for performance in the afternoon. The Playhouse will provide hotel accommodations for two nights. A local performance will be scheduled prior to the festival. Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on February 3 at the Java Moose from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3.
