Grand Marais Garden Club Meeting Notice
The first 2014 meeting of the Grand Marais Garden
Club will be on Monday, April 14th at 10:00 a.m. at
the Grand Marais Senior Center. The program will be a
panel discussion on the topic: “Is There a Greenhouse
in Your Future?” The panel will discuss a variety of ways
to extend the garden season through the use of cold
frames, hoop houses, and small greenhouses. The public
is welcome to attend.

The Grand Marais Playhouse is hosting interest
meetings for community members interested in acting
roles, musician and crew positions for the 2014 Grand
Marais Playhouse Summer Theater Festival. Plays will
be selected from information gathered from interested
performers who attend meeting and commit to the
festival with minimum conflicts. Musical meeting:
Monday April 21 at 7 PM. Singers and musicians are
strongly encouraged to attend. Comedy Meeting:
Tuesday, April 22 at 7 PM. Men and women, high school

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services will be
offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on
Tuesday, May 6 at the YMCA from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at
the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures
