To help us celebrate the life of Laura Larsen Ranning who
passed away on October 11, 2012, at the age of 88. We will

Invasive Plant Control and Tree Planting Workshop
Learn about invasive plants, how to control them, and

Learn and be entertained
Dr. Neil Anderson, professor of Floriculture at the University
of Minnesota, will give a presentation on his sabbatical
year in the Czech Republic. His time was spent in research,
teaching and plant collecting. The Czech Republic was
chosen because it has a climate and growing season similar
to Minnesota’s. Co-hosted by the Grand Marais and West
End Garden Clubs. Saturday, August 10, 2013, 1-2 p.m. St.

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their
Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the
third Tuesday of each month, from 9 -11 a.m. First come,
first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel,

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services will be
offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on
Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Grand Marais Pool from
9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30
a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3. For
