Performance workshop
with Singer/Songwriter Preston Gunderson
Grand Marais Public Library, Thursday, August 8, 2013,
6:00 p.m. Gunderson, a native from Virginia, MN will
present this workshop on writing and recording original
music, his processes and his musical experiences as a
singer/songwriter. Everyone is welcome to this event,
funded in part or whole by a grant from Minnesota’s Arts
and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Memorial Service for Laura Larsen Ranning
To help us celebrate the life of Laura Larsen Ranning who
passed away on October 11, 2012, at the age of 88. We
will have a memorial service on August 24, 2013 at 2 p.m.
at the First Congregational Church (2nd St. & 3rd Ave. W.)
Grand Marais, MN.

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their
Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the
third Tuesday of each month, from 9 -11 a.m. First come,
first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel,
and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services will be
offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on
Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Grand Marais Pool from
9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30
a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3. For
