Library Friends Annual Book Sale
The annual book sale sponsored by Library
Friends of Cook County will be held Thursday,
August 1 – Saturday, August 3 at the Community
Center. Thursday night is the Library Friends
members only sale from 5 – 7 p.m. Memberships will
be sold at the Center one hour prior to the Thursday
sale. Friday hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday hours
are 8 a.m. – noon and books and materials will be
discounted.
Invasive Plant Control and
Tree Planting Workshop

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer
their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior
Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9
-11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring
your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.
Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services
will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar
screenings on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Grand
Marais Pool from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior
Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are
free and blood sugars cost $3. For more information
