Brown Bag Lunch
Violence Prevention Center invites you to call a friend,
pack a lunch and join us on Wednesday, June 19
from noon to 1:00 at East Bay Suites. Guest speakers
will be Christal Kelahan and Rena Carlson sharing
with us the stories of their mother, Eleanor Jackson
Stone. Mrs. Stone wrote her own story of her parents
homesteading in Cook County from Finland that
became a booklet sold at the Historical Society named
Hanging On. The story of this family inspired the book
Britta’s Journey by local author Ann Mershon. Join us

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer
their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center
on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 -11 a.m.
First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own
soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.
Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services
will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar
screenings on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Grand
Marais Pool from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior
Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are
free and blood sugars cost $3. For more information
