Clearwater Lodge totem pole unveiling
The community is invited to Clearwater Historic Lodge,
7 p.m., Thursday, June 13 for the unveiling of a new
totem pole. The new hand-carved totem pole was
crafted by Bob Olson to replace the original totem pole
carved by Billy Needham for the lodge in 1948. Join the
celebration as this piece of Clearwater Lodge’s history
is restored.

Grand Opening of Gunflint Fire Hall No. 1
Grand Opening of the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire
Department’s newly expanded Fire Hall No. 1 and
the A. Paul and Carol C. Schaap Mid-Trail Community

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer
their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center
on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 -11 a.m.
First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own
soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services
will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar
screenings on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Grand
Marais Pool from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior
Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are
free and blood sugars cost $3. For more information
