The Timeless Beauty of Harp and Flute

at the Grand Marais Public Library at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16. The free program, suitable for all ages, will be presented by Betty Braunstein, flute, and Janell Lemire, harp, members of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra.

CCLEP Homeowner’s Energy Efficiency Workshop

Wednesday, March 13 at Cook County Higher Education North Shore Campus 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., Grand Marais PUC SMMPA Rep Keith Butcher and CCLEP Coordinator Virginia Danfelt will present energy efficiency information and how to get involved in REEP. $5 donation per household.

I.S.D. 166 Special Board Meeting

The School Board of I.S.D. 166 will meet for a Special Board Meeting Monday, March 11, 2013, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Social Studies Room #205, 101 West 5th Street, Grand Marais, MN. The board members will be meeting to discuss and possibly take action on the following items: Administrative Structure, Cook County Family YMCA and a Level III Grievance.

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Cook County Co-op from 9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3.
