Annual Community Christmas Concerts
Performed by the Borealis Chorale and Orchestra, will
take place on Sunday, Dec. 9 and Monday, Dec 10 at 7:00
p.m. Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Grand Marais. Bill

Cook County Family YMCA
groundbreaking ceremony
A groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m.
on Monday, December 10th a 1:00 p.m. Please meet in
front of the west end of Cook County ISD#166 for a short
ceremony, Cook County High School band playing, and
some refreshments. Everyone invited to attend! There may
be a quorum of County Commissioners present, however,

Cook County Biomass Energy Study Report
Report on the Cook County Biomass Energy Study
will be presented on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. in the
Commissioners’ Room, Cook County Courthouse,
representatives of Dovetail Partners, Inc. will present
the final report on the Cook County Biomass Energy
Study – Phase II. All interested members of the public are

The Carlton-Cook-Lake-St. Louis Community Health Board
(CHB) is scheduled to meet on Monday, December 17th
from 1:00 pm -3:00 pm in the Stanley Center Conference

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services will be
offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on
Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Grand Marais Pool from
9:15-10:15 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30
a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3. For

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their
Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the
third Tuesday of each month, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. First
come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap,
