Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County
Department of Public Health & Human Services offer
their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center
on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9:00-11:00
a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your
own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Animal Advocates of the Arrowhead meeting
Animal Advocates of the Arrowhead will hold its last
board meeting on Tuesday, September 25 at 8:30 p.m.
at the 4-H Log Building at the Community Center in
Grand Marais.

Biomass Feasibility Presentation
On Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. in the commissoners’
room at the courthouse, representatives of FVB
Energy, Inc. and the BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota
(BBAM) will discuss the specifics of the Grand Marais
district heat feasibility study and business plan
development. There will be a limited opportunity for
questions and comments from the public.

Saturday, September 22: 11 a.m.-The Muffin Man
reading stories for young children; 5 p.m.-Writer’s
Salon with Gayla Marty reading from her memoir
Memory of Trees: a Daughter’s Story of a Family Farm.
Wednesday, September 26: 6:30 p.m.-Women’s
Book Group call for title, read the book and join the
discussion. Friday, Sept 28: 5 p.m.-6 p.m. Full Moon
featuring Gina Macy outside around the fire.

Heebie Jeebies family comedy music show
At the Grand Marais Public Library, no admission
charge. Wednesday, October 3 at 1:00 pm.

Auditions for Doo-Wop Wed Widing Hood
The Grand Marais Playhouse will hold auditions for
“Doo-Wop Wed Widing Hood,” a 1950’s Rock n’ Roll
Fairy Tale October 1 at 4 PM at the Arrowhead Center
for the Arts in Grand Marais. Auditions are open to
Grade 1 to Adult. Rehearsals will be M – Th. 4 – 5:30.
Performances are Nov. 3,4,8,10,11. Saturdays at 7 PM
and Sundays at 2 PM. The performance on the 8th is a
Schools Only matinee. Costume help is needed for this
production. Please contact the Playhouse office if you
are interested in helping!!

Harvest Dinner
Bethlehem Lutheran Church Grand Marais Friday,
September 28, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. Come join us for
the Harvest Dinner of: Fishcakes, Ham, Carrots, Pickles,
Rolls, Rye Bread, Parsley Buttered Potatoes, Cabbage
Salad, Dessert, Coffee, Milk. Adults $12, Children 6
through 10 $5.00, Children under 5 free. Sponsored
by the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Women with
supplemental funding from Thrivent Financial or
Lutherans.
