Time is running out to get your comments in about the ShoekoShoe timber sale Environmental Assessment.
The last day to submit comments is April 30, 2017.
The Environmental Assessment is available on the Superior National Forest website at www.fs.usda.gov/goto/ superior/projects. It is also available upon request at the Gunflint Ranger District Office. Additional information regarding this project can be obtained from Becky Bartol, telephone (218) 387-3207.
The main objectives of the ShokoShoe Project are to: promote diverse and healthy forests; improve public and firefighter safety by reducing hazardous fuels; and improve moose habitat.
Comments should be submitted to the Gunflint District Ranger by one of the following methods: mail to 2020 W. Highway 61, Grand Marais, MN 55604; Attn: ShokoShoe Project EA; telephone (218) 387-1750; fax (218) 387-3246; or email: comments-eastern-superior gunflint@fs.fed.us Please put “ShokoShoe Project EA” in the subject line of faxed or emailed comments.
