Judges had a hard time selecting a winner in the Cook County
News-Herald
Halloween coloring contest. Thanks to all the kids who entered! The winners were Grace Ritchey (3-5 years); Sadie Wilson (6-8 years); and Libby Zafft (9-12), all of Grand Marais.

Thanks to News-Herald cartoonist Carson Haring for the funny
coloring page drawings and to the following businesses for providing

prizes for the trick-or-treat buckets: Arrowhead Pharmacy,
Buck’s Hardware Hank, Gene’s Foods, Grand Marais Family
Dentistry, Grand Marais SuperAmerica, Gunflint Mercantile,
Johnson’s Foods, Joynes Department Store, Lake Superior Trading
Post, Mike’s Holiday, Moose Tracks, Red Pine Realty, and The Attic.
