2020 graduates of St. Olaf Collage

Twyla Pedersen, Grand Marais, graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, with a degree in Psychology.

Twyla is a graduate of Cook County High School. She is the daughter of David Pedersen and Leslie Pedersen, Grand Marais.

Will Seaton, son of Nancy and David Seaton, Gunflint Trail, graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in Mathematics and German. Will graduated from East High School in Duluth.

Tor Viren, son of Katherine McClure and Chuck Viren, Grand Marais, graduated from St. Olaf Collage with degrees in Physics and Norwegian. Tor attended Southwest High School in Minneapolis.

Danielle Hansen, daughter of Paul Hansen and Diane Blanchette, Grand Marais, received degrees in Nursing and Women’s and Gender Studies from St. Olaf College. Danielle is a graduate of Cook County High School.

Mark Buckman earns degree from Bemidji State University

Mark Buckman, from Schroeder, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota. The degree was awarded at the conclusion of the 2020 spring semester.

Claire Lavigne on Saint Catherine’s Dean’s List Spring 2020

Claire Lavigne, a graduate of Cook County High School in Grand Marais, Minnesota, has been named to the spring semester 2020 Dean’s List at Saint Catherine University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Claire Lavigne is an undergraduate student and a junior at St. Kate’s, majoring in social work and public health. She is the daughter of Emily Haussner and Chris Lavigne.

The Saint Catherine University Dean’s List recognizes students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.667 or higher.

Andrea Naylor graduates from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College

Andrea Naylor, Grand Marais, received a Technical One Year Cosmetology diploma from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC).

WITC offers career-focused associate degree programs, technical diplomas, shortterm certificates, customized business training, and a wide array of courses for personal or career enrichment. WITC is a member of the Wisconsin Technical College System and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
