Sjogren named to president’s list at Bemidji State University

Jami Sjogren from Grand Marais earned president’s list honors from Bemidji State University in Bemidji at the conclusion of the spring 2019 semester.

Jami is the daughter of Aaron and Teri Sjogren, Grand Marais.

To be eligible for the president’s list, BSU students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester. A total of 351 students earned spring 2019 president’s list honors from the university, and an additional 681 students earned dean’s list honors for earning GPAs between 3.50 and 3.99.

Anderson named to dean’s list

Owen Anderson was named to the dean’s list from Bemidji State University in Bemidji at the conclusion of the spring 2019 semester.

Owen is the son of Dan Anderson and Gail Anderson, Grand Marais.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, BSU students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA during the semester. A total of 681 students earned spring 2019 dean’s list honors from the university, and an additional 351 students earned president’s list honors for earning perfect 4.0 GPAs.

Jacobsen named to dean’s list

Emily-Kate Jacobsen, Grand Marais, was named to the spring 2019 Bemidji State University dean’s list.

Emily is the daughter of John and Heidi Jacobsen, Grand Marais.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, BSU students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA during the semester. A total of 681 students earned spring 2019 dean’s list honors from the university, and an additional 351 students earned president’s list honors for earning perfect 4.0 GPAs.

Dene Taylor named to Northwest Technical College dean’s list

Dene Taylor from Grand Marais earned dean’s list honors from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji, Minn., at the conclusion of the spring 2019 semester.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, NTC students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA during the semester. A total of 90 students earned spring 2019 dean’s list honors from the college.

Leif Anderson earns UM-Twin Cities honors

Leif D. Anderson, Lutsen, was named to the 2019 spring University of Minnesota Twin Cities dean’s list.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.

Leif is pursuing a non-degree in the College of Continued & Professional Studies. He is the son of Steve and Jeanne Anderson, Lutsen.

Alexander Murray named to Mankato dean’s list

Alexander Murray, Grand Marais, qualified for the 2019 spring semester dean’s High Honor List.

The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean’s lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato was announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Marilyn Wells.

Among 3,140 students, a total of 829 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight “A” average, while 2,311 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List. To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

Alex is the son of Tom and Denise Murray, Grand Marais.
