Rude graduates with master’s in software engineering
Benjamin D. Rude graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering with a master’s degree in software engineering on May 4, 2018.
Benjamin is a 2001 graduate of Cook County High School, a graduate of University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and a past student of Birch Grove Elementary. He currently lives in Eden Prairie, Minn. His parents are David and Tamara Rude of Tofte.
Callender receives Hagan Scholarship
Lucia (Lucy) Callender was awarded a Hagan Scholarship to attend Gustavus Adolphus to study Spanish language.
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship that provides up to $6,000 each semester. Over 600 Hagan Scholars from 37 states will attend 237 colleges and universities the fall semester of 2018.
Roy named to dean’s list at UW-La Crosse
Madison Roy, Grand Marais, was named to the UW-La Crosse spring 2018 dean’s list.
Qualification for the dean’s list is limited to students who have attained outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible, students must have earned not less than a 3.5 semester grade point average and carried a minimum of 12 credits.
Madison is a statistics major at UW-La Crosse.
Karl Olson named to dean’s list
The University of Wisconsin-Superior has named Karl Olson of Grand Marais to the dean’s list for achievement during the spring 2018 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, students must completed 12 degree-seeking semester credits achieved at least a 3.50 grade point average (on scale).
Acero named to president’s list
Matea Acero was named to the Minnesota State Community and Technical College spring 2018 president’s list.
To earn this award for scholastic achievement, a student must complete 12 or more college-level credits for the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Minnesota State Community and Technical College is a member of the Minnesota state system.
Rauzi named to dean’s list at UMD
Lino C. Rauzi, Grand Marais, a senior at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) was named to the dean’s list for spring semester 2018. Students on the dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Lino is majoring in science and engineering (geological sciences, Bachelor of Science (BS), and mathematics BS).
Haylie Anderson makes UMD dean’s list
The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has announced that Haylie Anderson, Grand Marais, was named to its dean’s list for spring semester 2018. Students on the dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Haylie is a senior enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts where she is majoring in criminology.
