Holz earns degree from Northland College
Sophie Holz of Grand Marais graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in sustainable community development from Northland College.
Located in Ashland, Wis., Northland College is a private, liberal arts college of 600 students with a progressive focus on the environment and sustainability.
Puch graduates from St. Cloud
Carly Puch of Grand Marais graduated from St. Cloud University with a Master of Science, Social Responsibility degree. Carly is the daughter of Jean Spry, Grand Marais, and Scott Puch, Florida. Commencement ceremonies took place May 5.
St. Cloud State University graduated more than 1,203 students during spring semester 2017.
Berglund graduates from Gustavus Adolphus College
Collin Berglund, Grand Marais, was among the 518 students to graduate with Bachelor of Arts degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College during the school’s annual commencement exercises on Sunday, May 28. Berglund graduated with a degree in geology.
Rider graduates from Hamilton College
Christopher C. Rider, son of Ann and Thomas Rider of Lutsen, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College on Sunday, May 21, at the commencement ceremony concluding the college’s 205th year.
Hamilton awarded 508 diplomas in the ceremony. Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker delivered the commencement address.
A biochemistry/molecular biology major at Hamilton, Rider now joins an alumni body of more than 22,000.
