Danielle Hansen receives St. Olaf College scholarship

Danielle Hansen graduated from Cook County High School in 2015 and then participated in the National Rotary Youth Exchange Program in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia.

Danielle was recently awarded a $48,000 faculty scholarship from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and plans on attending in the fall this year.

Danielle is the daughter of Paul Hansen of Duluth and Diane Blanchette of Tofte.

Cameron Shepard named to BMU dean’s list

Cameron Shepard of Lutsen has earned dean’s list honors from Bemidji State University for the fall 2015 semester.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, BSU students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA during the semester. A total of 1,161 students earned fall 2015 dean’s list honors.

Bemidji State University, located in northern Minnesota’s lake district, occupies a wooded campus along the shore of Lake Bemidji.

McMillan named to St. Cloud State dean’s list

Magdalynn McMillan of Grand Marais has been named to the 2015 fall semester dean’s list at St. Cloud State University.

More than 1,407 students received the honor, with a grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

McMillan is enrolled in the School of Health and Human Services, majoring in social work. Magdalynn is the daughter of Shawn Maravigli and Mike McMillan of Grand Marais. She is a 2013 graduate of Cook County High School.

St. Cloud State University is Minnesota’s second largest university, with more than 15,000 students from 90 different nations.The 100-acre campus is located about an hour northwest of Minneapolis along the banks of the Mississippi River.
