Scannell named to Hamilton College dean’s list
Lars B. Scannell, son of Lynn Swanson and Timothy Scannell of Grand Marais, has been named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College for the 2015 fall semester.
To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above.
Scannell, a first-year student, is a graduate of San Marcos High School.
Adams named to Mesabi dean’s list
Cedar Adams of Hovland has been named to the 2015 fall semester dean’s list at Mesabi Range College.
Adams is among 67 students to have earned the distinction with a GPA between 3.5 and 3.74.
She is a 2014 graduate of Cook County High School. Cedar is the daughter of Julie Kean and Mark Adams of Hovland.

Chmelik named to St. Olaf dean’s list
Carl Chmelik of Grand Marais has been named to the St. Olaf College dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester. The dean’s list recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale.
Carl is a 2014 Cook County High School graduate majoring in biology. He is the son of Michael and Teresa Chmelik of Grand Marais.
Trevor Delamater achieves academic excellence
Trevor Delamater of Lutsen, a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, has earned a spot on the dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester.
The dean’s list is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours. This semester, 394 students qualified for the dean’s list.
Delamater is a senior and a writing/rhetoric and business administration major at Northwestern College. He is the son of Mark and Margaret Delamater of Lutsen.
