Sarah Larsen on dean’s list

Sarah Larsen of Grand Marais has been named to the spring 2015 semester dean’s list at St. Catherine University in St. Paul.

A first-year student in the Undergraduate Day program, Sarah Larsen is majoring in secondary education and history and is the daughter of Ralph Larsen and Sandy Stover. She is a 2013 graduate of Cook County High School.

The St. Catherine University dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.667 or higher.

Grace Keating earns UMD honors

Grace Keating of Hovland has been named to the 2015 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

Keating is a junior in the university’s College of Liberal Arts.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.

Local student earns Northwest Tech degree

Kaesia Pratt-Morrin of Grand Portage graduated from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji at the conclusion of the spring 2015 semester.

Northwest Technical College’s Class of 2015 included 82 graduates who earned associate in science degrees; 84 graduates who earned associate in applied science; 114 graduates who earned diplomas; and 89 graduates who completed certificate programs.

Pratt-Morrin earned an associate’s degree of applied science in sales, marketing and management.

Northwest Technical College, located in northern Minnesota’s lake district, is an open, inviting technological learning organization. For more than 40 years, the college has valued life-long learning and the worth and dignity of all people. The college serves around 1,000 students.
