Rysdahl receives National Science Foundation scholarship
Scott Rysdahl of Tofte has been awarded a full scholarship to pursue his masters in Cyber Security at St Cloud State University.
The scholarship is provided through the National Science Foundation. The program, Scholarship for Services, is a unique program designed to strengthen the cadre of federal information assurance professionals that protect the government’s critical information infrastructure. Part of Scott’s requirements for this scholarship is to mentor undergrad students in this program.
Scott is a 2003 graduate of Cook County High School. He is the son of Jeanne Rysdahl of Tofte and Dennis Rysdahl of Schroeder.
Clearwater-Day graduates Keuka College with honors
On May 23, 2015 at the 107th Commencement Exercises at Keuka College, New York, Autumn Brigh Clearwater-Day of Grand Portage received her Bachelor of Science degree in unified early childhood/ special education.
Autumn graduated with honors and will begin her Master’s Program in Literacy on July 1, 2015 at Keuka College.
While pursuing her graduate degree, Autumn will be employed as a substitute teacher for grades K-2 and special education for the upcoming school year. Autumn will return to Minnesota in August to assist with the Grand Portage Kids Summer Camp.
Autumn Clearwater-Day is a 2011 Cook County High School graduate.
Sorlie earns Bachelor of Arts degree
The College of St. Scholastica held its spring 2015 commencement ceremony May 9 at Amsoil Arena in Duluth. Cheyenne Sorlie of Grand Marais was among the graduates. Cheyenne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.
She is a 2011 graduate of Cook County High School. Cheyenne is the daughter of Don Sorlie and Gretchen Panka.
