Rachel Todd named to St. Scholastica dean’s list
Rachel Todd of Grand Marais has been named to the spring 2013 dean’s list at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
Rachel is the daughter of Gina Macy of Grand Marais and Douglas Todd. She and is a 2013 graduate of Cook County High School, and began attending St. Scholastica while still in high school.
Dean’s list members have achieved a 3.75 grade point average or above on a 4.0 scale. Todd was listed as having an undeclared major.
Darla Boley earns academic honors at UW
Darla Boley of Tofte has been named to the dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the spring semester of the 2012-13 academic year.
Darla is majoring in archaeological studies.
To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must have earned not less than a 3.5 semester grade point average and have carried a minimum of 12 semester credits.
UW-La Crosse, founded in 1909, is one of the 13 four-year institutions in the University of Wisconsin System. UW-L has nearly 10,200 full and part-time students enrolled in 91 undergraduate programs, 17 master’s degree offerings and three certificate degrees.
Benjamin Larson earns Bemidji honors
Benjamin Larson of Grand Marais has been named to the spring semester 2013 dean’s list at Bemidji State University.
Ben is a 2005 graduate of Cook County High School, and is the son of Marlo Larson and Lisa Larson of Grand Marais.
Bemidji State students carrying 12 or more semester hours during any one term and earning at least 3.25 (B-plus) grade point average are included on the dean’s list.
Larson named to Dunwoody College of Technology’s dean’s list
Meghan Larson of Silver Bay, Minn. was named to Dunwoody College of Technology’s spring semester dean’s list. Larson received this honor by upholding a 3.5 grade point average or higher.
Founded in 1914, Dunwoody College of Technology is the only private, not-for-profit technical college in the Upper Midwest. It has provided a hands-on, applied technical education to more than 250,000 men and women, who in turn have gone on to meaningful and rewarding careers. Woerheide graduates cum laude from UMD College of Science
Kristine Woerheide graduated cum laude from University of Minnesota-Duluth Swenson College of Science and Engineering, with her degree in cellular and molecular biology in May.
Woerheide was the 2012 recipient of the Karim Pre- Veterinary Medicine Scholarship, awarded to a junior who meets the academic requirements and who also demonstrates knowledge of the profession and experience with animals.
Woerheide has been accepted to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, where she will be continuing her education next semester.
Kristine is the daughter of Jon and Wendi Woerheide of Lutsen. She is a 2005 graduate of Cook County High School.
