Mark Buckman named to Vermilion dean’s list

Mark Buckman of Schroeder has been named to the fall 2010 dean’s list at Vermilion Community College, Ely. Students must achieve a 3.0 grade-point average to earn recognition on the list.

Mark is the son of Mark and Kathy Buckman, and is also a 2009 Cook County High School graduate.

Kinzli named to UMD dean’s list

University of Minnesota – Duluth (UMD) has announced its dean’s list for fall semester 2010. On the list is Micaella G. Kinzli of Grand Marais, who is attending the UMD College of Liberal Arts.

Students on the UMD dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Nelson sisters earn St. Scholastica honors

Jessica Nelson has been named to the 2010 fall semester dean’s list at the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth. Jessica is a 2007 Cook County High School graduate, now in her fourth year majoring in nursing. She has made the dean’s list seven semesters in a row.

Kari Nelson has also been named to the 2010 fall semester dean’s list at St. Scholastica.

Kari is a 2009 graduate of CCHS in her second year, majoring in occupational therapy.

Jessica and Kari both received congratulations from Beth Domholdt, vice-president for academic affairs. Students named to the dean’s list must earn a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher.

Jessica and Kari are the daughters of Tom and Patty Nelson of Grand Marais.
