The public is cordially invited to the 2015 Night of the Notable and the Notorious on Monday, January 12, at 7 p.m. in the Arrowhead Center for the Arts.
As the culminating event of their College Writing class, students will face questioning about their research results in an open forum affectionately known as “The Night of the Notorious.” For the event, students argue from the viewpoints of well-known spokespersons in their fields of research. Staying in character becomes especially challenging for students whose own views might not match those of their characters. As always, lively audience participation makes this a popular community event. Donations help to support the students’ spring theater trip.
Some of the topics raised by this year’s College Writing students relate to the legality of surrogacy, poverty in Cook County, medical care for veterans, wolf hunting, sulfide mining and more. Fifteen students will bring their topic to life and will tackle tough questions from the audience.
Don’t miss this very interesting event!
