Coaches hired for fall sports

All of the fall coaches’ contracts were approved. Once again Mitch Dorr will be the head football coach. His assistants will be Bryan Carpenter, Mike Prom, and Chris Rauzi. Kyler Hawkins will coach 7th- and 8th-grade football. Kyle Anderson will be a volunteer helper for the football team this year.

Pam Taylor will try to get her team to a third straight trip to state in her final year as head volleyball coach. Pam’s assistant coaches will be Marlene Wester and Kelly Roberts.

April Wahlstrom will again be the head cross country coach for the North Shore Storm cross country team. Her volunteer assistants are Chris Hegg, Anne Hegg, Emma Spoon, Jay Arrowsmith DeCoux, Shane Steele and Paartin Peper. Because the program also includes runners from Two Harbor High School and practices are held for those athletes in Two Harbors, assistant coaches there are Dan Hebl, Sara Scheid, Dave Schottenbauer, and Julie Schottenbauer.

The Cook County Booster Club will reimburse the school district for the middle school coaches in football and volleyball.
