Cook County Whole Foods Co-op in Grand Marais continues to grow, and now has a membership of over 1,600 owners.
Run by a board of directors, the co-op will have two board seats up for election this fall.
With a seven-member board of directors, each year two or three members are elected. This fall two board member seats are up. Nick Vavrichek, who has chosen to run again for another term, and Judy Peterson, who will be stepping down.
Serving the board involves a three-year commitment. Filing to run for a co-op board seat involves stopping by the co-op and asking for an application at the info desk.
Applications are due Sept. 1 and elections are held at the annual meeting Oct. 24. If you have questions or need more specific information about serving on the board, contact any of the current board members.
