Clean Energy Resource Team offers info and tour of Eco- Industrial Park




The Northeast Clean Energy Resource Team (NE CERT) is hosting a free informational meeting Thursday, August 15 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Minnesota Historical Society Forest History Center in Grand Rapids. The public is invited to attend to “learn about economic, entrepreneurial, and environmental opportunities that Eco- Industrial Parks can offer Northern Minnesota communities.”

During the event there will be a presentation by Jeff Borling on Wood Biofuels & Itasca Eco Industrial Park. Borling is the director of Itasca Business Development. Another presentation Non-woody Biofuels & Statewide Perspective will be offered by Tim Welle, program manager of BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota.

Bill Mittlefehldt, the NE CERT coordinator will speak about additional regional opportunities and then participants have the opportunity to tour the Itasca Eco-Industrial Park to learn about advanced clean technology.
