City Tins—North Star Edition makes great gift

Only in a small town can you be standing in line to pay for your gasoline when someone comes up to you and says, “I’ve got something in my car for you. Wait right here.”

That someone was Mary Somnis, board president of WTIP. She came back with a tin. It looked like a tin of snuff but instead it was a tin filled with 22 coaster coupons redeemable through 2023. If used, the coupons will save you over $200 on dining and shopping at some of your favorite restaurants and stores.

The tins are being sold at $30 unless you buy in bulk. If you purchase 50, they are $25 each. Buying 100 drives the price down to $20 each and if you buy 200, the tins are $15 each.

“We are selling the tins as a fundraiser for WTIP,” Mary said. “They make great gifts for family, friends, employees, clients, and everyone who visits the North Shore.”

WTIP Executive Director Matthew Brown offered, “City Tins is a great way to not only support WTIP but also our 22 business partners. These coasters are good through 2023 and make a perfect gift for the holiday season.”

The hope, said Brown, is “to sell 2,500 with the funds supporting WTIP.”

With Christmas coming, City Tins will make a great gift or stocking stuffer. To learn more, go to WTIP’s website: A tin full of coasters, featuring special offers at popular North Shore destinations by CityTins valid through 2023 | WTIP.
