The Danfelt-Martin family of Hovland continues working to assist friends impacted by the 8.8 earthquake in February. Virginia Danfelt reports that this week the Catemu House Project in Catemu, Chile will break ground. The original home owned by the Guillermo Vasquez Puga family was destroyed in the earthquake.
The organizers of the relief effort, Christian Fernandez and Keri Wolfe of Viviendapasiva, are well underway to begin construction after getting the site cleaned up, enlisting volunteers and a general contractor.
As reported, a Chilean Relief Fund has been set up locally at the North Shore Federal Credit Union. You can also donate directly to this project with PayPal on line.
