The Arrowhead Library System (ALS) invites children and their caretakers to an interactive, creative, author/illustrator adventure at the Grand Marais Public Library at 7 p.m. Feb. 22.
The 321 Art Studio, run by artist Nancy Lucas, will inspire and lead children in the creation of their own adventure storybook with the “Draw Your Adventure” program. The event includes a fun reading of “Harold and the Purple Crayon,” discussion of adventures, and the creation of books by all young participants using materials provided by the artists.
The program will be customized to fit children ages 2 years old through elementary school, depending on the audience. Participants will enjoy creating their own books in an inspirational, fun environment. Admission to the event is free thanks to sponsorship by the Arrowhead Library System and funding from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
