The long-awaited opening of Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center will be Friday, July 10.
Due to COVID-19, staff, volunteers, and visitors to Chik-Wauk must follow the State Department of Health’s policies and protocols for museums and nature centers.
• Facemasks must be worn in all buildings.
• Personal distance must be practiced, at least six feet apart.
• The number of visitors to each building at any given time is limited.
• Hand sanitizing stations are available and must be used upon entry to each building.
• If anyone in the visiting party feels sick, please stay home.
• Strict cleaning and sanitizing schedules are being followed by staff and volunteers.
Step back in time as you peek through the windows at the new Cabin Exhibit. The cabin is furnished as a 1950’s American plan style cabin.
Both gift shops will be stocked with new items from local artists.

Beginning July 10:
The Museum, Cabin Exhibit & Gift Shop are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Nature Center is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Watercraft Exhibit Building & Gift Shop are also open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children 5 – 18; under age 5 are free.
The Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center are located on the Gunflint Trail (County Road 12), turn right onto Moose Pond Drive (County Road 81).
