The Cook County Chamber of Commerce has announced that it is awarding a $1000 scholarship to a child of a custodial parent/legal guardian living in Cook County.
To be eligible to apply you must be a graduating senior in high school or currently enrolled in a post secondary institution.
The deadline to apply is April 7, 2021, by 3 p.m.
Applicants need to answer several questions in a 400- 800 word essay. The questions are as follows:
1) What are your educational and career goals? For example, it could be welding, wood work, business, bookkeeping, medicine, management, septic design, excavating, cooking, hospitality, teaching, etc.
2) How has your life in Cook County prepared you for these goals?
3) How will the skills you learn benefit the community where you will live?
Please provide us with as much information as possible to help the Chamber committee make its decision. The committee will place significant emphasis on your ability to tell your story.
By applying for this scholarship you agree to provide the Cook County Chamber with at least one update within a year of the award.
