A free picnic featuring barbecue, music and mingling will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26 on the library lawn. The event, sponsored by the Cook County Chamber of Commerce, will be catered by Alyce’s Restaurant; Patrick Knight will provide the music.
The celebration will spotlight the 2016 Great Place Project recipients, including Ann Possis’ free outdoor ping pong table on the library lawn.
“This is just a chance to have a good time. No charge, no requirements. Just come and enjoy having an outdoor picnic celebration with other Cook County community members,” said Chamber director Jim Boyd. “Your presence is important to demonstrate support for the Great Place Project, which funds murals such as the steelhead on the Como Oil and Propane gas tank, the foxes painted on the front of Arrowhead Pharmacy, and the outdoor ping pong table in front of the library.”
The Great Place Project is a collaboration between the Cook County Chamber and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic’s Moving Matters.
