It’s official! My April 20, 2013 calendar says we’re celebrating AGGW Day today. (That’s short for Al Gore Global Warming Day). We woke up to a balmy 4 degrees above zero and I can see four-foot snowdrifts through our snow-caked Jack Frost-painted windows this early a.m.
I thought I’d take advantage of this balmy global warmed up day by maybe doing a little snow tanning session out there in our snow dunes from yesterday’s blizzard.
Thing is, I need to find a lawn chair. I know it’s buried somewhere out there in one of those fourfoot drifts. I was hoping to get in some sunshine, fresh air and good reading time with Al’s book, An Inconvenient Truth.
I suppose another thing on this spring day’s agenda will have to be digging out my little Dodge Neon elfmobile. It’s buried. I sure am thrilled I don’t have to dig out Al’s limo and jet.
Our little house is a tad chilly this frosty a.m. Sure am thankful we don’t have to heat Al’s three mansions.
I’m thinking today I’m going to be a tad more concerned about my snow footprints than my carbon footprint. Me thinks I’ll tie a rope around my waist before I head out into the deep white beyond or someone will be digging this little elf out of a snow dune somewhere come… summer?
That’s the news from Lake Snow-be-Gone from the Land-O-Hov in northern MiniSnowta….. Hmm…. wonder if I could make any money writing a book?
