Celebrate Heritage Center murals opening May 21

The Grand Portage National Monument and the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa are pleased to announce the completion of four larger-than-life murals by David Gilsvik.

The Ojibwe heritage murals celebrate the Grand Portage Ojibwe, their way of life and place in a 360- degree tribute to handiwork and human ingenuity. The public is invited to meet the artist at an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. May 21 at the Grand Portage National Monument Heritage Center. There will be appetizers and refreshments – everyone is welcome!
