CCHE supports Minnesota’s October “College Knowledge” Month

Thinking about continuing your education? Wondering about choices after high school? In October, Cook County Higher Education (CCHE) partners with the state of Minnesota to promote the Minnesota Goes to College program.

Every year the state of Minnesota works to provide graduating high school seniors with the preparation, opportunity, and support needed to apply and enroll in college. Each October, CCHE is one of many schools, college access programs, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations that plan and host Minnesota Goes to College events for students and families. These events focus on college & career exploration, financial aid and Dream Act information, and application completion.

Starting to plan for college can seem overwhelming. The Minnesota Goes to College website is full of resources for help with preparing for college. For instance, did you know 25 Minnesota schools offer free applications in October? Did you know that you can begin completing the FAFSA (necessary to access Federal and State financial aid) in October 2021 for Fall 2022 enrollment?

If you want more hands-on help, whether you have specific questions about an application essay or just don’t know where to start, CCHE’s Student Support Coordinator, Lenna Stever-Sobanja can help. • Completing the FAFSA • Finding the right college • Tutoring • Essay writing • College applications • Finding Scholarships • Student loans

And MORE!

All of our resources are FREE and customizable for you. To contact Lenna, email support@myCCHE.org or call 218.831.3305.
