On August 10, ten area lakes residents participated in the Cook County Coalition of Lake Associations Lake Plans workshop held at the Schaap Community Center, 9 a.m. to noon.
Prior to the workshop, many of the CCCoLA members of these 10 lakes completed a Lake and Property Owner Survey to gather information on their priorities regarding lake water quality, shoreline practices, and land use in their watershed.
CCCoLA workshop attendees received templates and resources to help them develop their lake plans and identify possible areas to formulate action plans. Using a collaborative model in developing individual lake plans throughout Cook County, allows for continued support for lake and property owners as they implement their action plans.
