CC/SB Jr Legion team falls to Ely

The Cook County/ Silver Bay Jr Legion team was held to five hits and one run in their 9-1 Tuesday, June 27 loss to Ely.

The Vikings lone run came in the third inning while Ely put two on the board in the first, one run in the second, two more in the fourth, one in the sixth and three in the seventh.

Five Vikings each got one hit, Amos Falter, Hunter Gomez, C. Smith, T. Shannon, and R. Tersteeg.

Amos Falter starred on the mound. He threw one inning allowing one hit, two runs, two walk and two strikeouts. Ethan Tate followed for one inning of relief. He gave up one run, walked three and struck out one batter. Next C. Smith came in and pitched two innings. Smith gave up one hit, two runs, walked four and struck out one. Landon Sheils pitched the final three innings. Landon allowed four hits, four runs, two walks and had one strikeout.

The Vikings only received two walks in the game to 11 for the Timberwolves. Ely played errorless ball while the Vikings committed four errors in the game played here.
