There was a big turnout for the first snowmobile drag races of the season held on January 21 at Skyport Lodge & Raven Rock Grill.
Hosted by the Cook County Snowmobile Club- Ridge Riders, several hundred people attended the fun-filled event, many to watch and some to participate in the races held on Devil Track Lake.

Up next is the Fun Run on Saturday February 4 which will be followed by drag races held at Hungry Jack Lodge on Saturday, February 18.
On March 4 the Ridge Riders will host the Trout Derby on Gunflint Lake. The last drag races of the season will be held on Saturday, March 11 at Poplar Haus with an end of the season party to follow the races.
Money raised from these events goes to maintain area snowmobile trails. The Ridge Riders is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving and maintaining the Cook County Minnesota trail system.
