Have you been watching for the bus? It is arriving this Wednesday, October 26 at various locations. Rain or shine, take part in this day that celebrates health and fitness and promotes a safe community in which to walk.
The Walking School Bus is a group of students, parents and neighbors who all walk to school together, starting at a Walking School Bus stop. This year’s Walking School Bus will be “driven” by a local law enforcement officer or community volunteer.
Students from Sawtooth Elementary and Great Expectations School are invited to “catch” the Walking School Bus. Anyone who wants to take part but does not live in Grand Marais may “catch” the bus at any of its “stops.”
There are three bus “routes”—see the schedule below.
The Walking School Bus is something that the Safe Routes to School group would like to see implemented on a permanent basis. Come on out and try part but does not live in Grand Marais may “catch” the bus at any of its “stops.”
