Cascade Lodge, Restaurant and Pub, will be closing temporarily in order to complete some major facilities updates from Dec. 7 through Dec. 17. Both the lodge and the restaurant and pub will reopen on Friday, Dec. 18.
“We decided that now was the time to take on some major upgrades,” said Michael O’Phelan, co-owner of the establishment along with his wife, Maureen. “We’ve had a very busy summer and fall, and there are some things that we just can’t do while we have guests to serve. This period, between the fall leaf season and ski season is our last chance for several months to get some major work done.”
Many of the upgrades will be behind-the-scenes, to help improve efficiency and the overall guest experience. Most visible to guests will be an entire new floor in the restaurant’s dining room and pub.
“We’re also giving some of our staff a chance to take some well-deserved time off,” said O’Phelan. “In fact, Maureen and I will be travelling to New Orleans for our daughter Sarah’s college graduation.”
Maureen O’Phelan added, “We hope our regular guests aren’t inconvenienced too much, but we’re sure they’ll appreciate the updates! We’ll be back with ‘Burger Night’ and all of people’s favorite specials, with some new surprises in the works!”
