Carolyn June Hahn,

84, of Two Harbors died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at home with her family at her side.

She was born on June 30, 1927 to Ernest and Clara (Berger) Bursack in Wildwood, Minnesota where she grew up, graduating from high school in Northome. June married Ray Hahn on August 30, 1945 and they lived in Alaska for several years and Northome before moving to Schroeder on the North Shore in 1962 and to Two Harbors in 1975.

Ray and June operated a logging business for many years and later founded Hahn Machinery, where June continued to be involved until 1990.

June was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was involved in 4-H during her children’s early years and enjoyed quilting, gardening, and the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. After retiring, she and Ray enjoyed traveling across the United States in their motor home. She loved being involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; and daughters Carole Hahn and Beverly Bright; and a sister, Louise McMillan.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Gary) Olsen and Sharon Hahn; son-in-law Alan Bright; grandchildren Tracey Sanders, Sarah (Tom) Deckhouse, Carey (Rick) Sorenson, Jeff (Nicole) Bright, Jenny (Eric) Falk, Chris Bright, and Jesse Hahn; great-grandchildren Casey, Evan and Corey Sanders, Matthew, Caroline, Andrew and Greta Dickhausen, Marlee, Makena and Raegan Hogenson, Tucker and Hayden Bright, Josie and Jack Falk; a brother, John (Judy) Bursack; nieces and nephews; and in-laws, Dolly (Dallas) Beck, Deanie Taylor, Audrey Hahn, Betty Hahn, and Kenneth McMillan.

Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Memorials are preferred to Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. To sign the online register book please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
