Caravan Du Nord— A traveling showcase of Minnesota music




The 2017 Caravan du Nord tour kicks off in Grand Marais on Saturday, Oct. 14 with a day of artist workshops, music industry networking, and performances by honky-tonk heroes Trailer Trash, New Orleans swing band Patty and The Buttons, and Grand Marais’ Lake Effect.

From 3-5 p.m. there will be a free Artist Workshop at the Community Center 4-H building. Learn from musicians and DJs about the art and business of making music.

At 6 p.m. there will be a social hour, which is also free, at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts. Meet the performers, local artists, and music industry professionals over food and drinks.

At 7 p.m. a concert featuring Trailer Trash, Patty & The Buttons, and Lake Effect will be held at Arrowhead Center for the Arts. Tickets cost $18 for adults and $8 for kids. Tickets can be purchased online at www.aca.tix.com or at the door on the night of the concert at 6 p.m.

Come out and enjoy an eclectic night of music from some of Minnesota’s top musical talent.
