As of May 25, 2022, the following folks, all of whom currently hold office, have signed up to run for county office in the fall general election: Commissioner District 3, David Mills; Commissioner District 4, Ann Sullivan; Commissioner District 5, Ginny Storlie; Sheriff, Patrick Eliasen; Attorney, Molly Hicken; Recorder, Dusty Nelms; Auditor-Treasurer, Braidy Powers; SWCD District 1, Gregg Westigard
The election will be held in Cook County on November 8, 2022.
The filing period began May 17 and ends on May 31, 2022. The withdrawal period ends Thursday June 2 at 5 p.m.
