Canada backs off on testing requirement

This is no April fools’ joke, Canadians will be coming back to northern Minnesota in the very near future.

Come April 1, 2022, fully vaccinated Canadians will be able to visit the U.S. without having to provide proof of a negative COVID- 19 test.

The government may include random testing, but Canadian travelers won’t have to provide the results of a rapid antigen rest.

Visitors from Canada will still have to prove they are fully vaccinated through an ArriveCAN app.

As of March 7, 2022, roughly 84.64 percent of the population of Canada had received at least one COVID-19 vaccination dose, and of those, 80.78 percent of Ontario residents are fully vaccinated.
