The Grand Marais Art Colony invites adventurous artists to join them as they paint the winter blues away. This Outdoor Painting Festival celebrates the serene beauty of the winter landscape in the Boundary Waters Wilderness and, of course, the color white. Artists can stay at the YMCA Camp Menogyn on West Bearskin Lake just off the Gunflint Trail in Grand Marais. For as little as $35/night per person artists will receive cozy bunkstyle lodging, three hot meals a day, and unlimited coffee and hot chocolate.
Registration deadline for the Feb. 1-6 event is Jan. 15. Also, this year there will be an exhibit of the freshly painted works at the Grand Marais Art Colony Feb. 5-21 as part of the Winter Tracks Festival.
