Annual Borealis Christmas Concert Rehearsals

will begin on Monday, Oct. 12 for chorus and orchestra strings and winds. The orchestra will meet at 5:45 p.m. and the choir will meet at 7:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Grand Marais. Bill Beckstrand, conductor.

Parent’s Night Out at the YMCA

Cook County Ruby’s Pantry

Cook County Ruby’s Pantry is a surplus food distribution program. New time 5:00-6:30 p.m. Every second Tuesday of the month. (Oct. 13, Nov. 10, Dec. 8). Elementary school parking. $20 cash only per share – buy more shares as you want, no financial qualifications. Bring a laundry basket and a cooler to bring home frozen items. Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Foot Care Clinic

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services offer their Foot Care Clinic at the Grand Marais Senior Center on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9 to 11 a.m. First come, first served. The cost is $10. Bring your own soap, towel, and bucket to soak your feet.

Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening

The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Department of Public Health & Human Services will be offering Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar screenings on October 6, Clearview Store, Lutsen from 9:00-10:00 a.m. and at the Senior Center from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Blood pressures are free and blood sugars cost $3.
