Children know they are surrounded by mysteries. A mystery is something not completely understood. Adults change these mysteries into possibilities from which they choose the possibility that either makes sense to them or enables them to manipulate the physical world to their benefit
Adults are surrounded by theories that make our lives better but cause us to forget the mystery for which they are a practical everyday answer.
Consider Light. Its many forms permit humans to see the world, be heated by the sun, and communicate electronically to one another.
To account for light’s properties, theories treat light as a particle having mass, and also as a “wave” or a “bundle of energy without mass.”
Some scientists think that there really is no such thing as mass (particle). Instead these “bundles of energy” under circumstances we are not yet able to understand, exhibit what we call mass, or a particle, an atom. (Newtonian Physics)
We can understand how light relates or interacts with space and other physical materials, but light itself is still a mystery. And so with the rest of the universe.
If the universe is composed of “bundles of energy” in infinite relationships with one another, then so is the human body—in fact our bodies are more “space” than mass particles, or interconnected bundles of energy. Activities of the body that we can measure are really just the movement of some of these different energy bundles.
Now consider DNA, which science treats as a complex code or programming, which causes an embryo to grow to an adult human or plants to grow. Observation says that energy bundles are never lost—just transformed into different energy bundles.
So why is it wrong or uneducated for a Christian to believe in the “possibility” that this “physical” body may house a “spirit” and be growing a “soul,” both which are just different “bundles of energy” under the control of the DNA which was programmed by a Creator.
How significant that the Bible states that God created Light to give Life to this Universe. Only two more possibilities must be considered to become a Christian—that God created mankind to be His Children, and that God revealed His thoughts to men to write them in the Bible.
Only three possibilities to lead you to Jesus Christ, but countless rejections of valid possibilities to become an atheist. Maybe that’s why there are so few of you around to make our lives interesting?
